UI/UX & Product Design
Product design is the research, interface and interaction work that decides what a system should do and how a person moves through it, before any of it is built.
Research and design that decide what to build before anyone spends a sprint building it.
Why teams bring us this work.
Design is the cheapest place to be wrong. Changing a flow in a prototype costs hours; changing it after launch costs a release cycle and the goodwill of everyone who learned the old one. We use design to resolve uncertainty early — what the product should do, who it is for, and where people will get stuck.
Our output is not a set of pictures. It is a validated flow, a design system with tokens and states, and specifications engineers can build from without guessing. Accessibility is designed in rather than audited afterwards, because contrast, focus order and target size are layout decisions, not a remediation task.
You likely need this if
- Features shipping that users do not adopt
- Every screen designed from scratch, nothing consistent
- Support load concentrated on the same few confusing flows
- An accessibility audit you would rather not receive
What we deliver.
- Product & UX research
- Interface design
- Design systems
- Interactive prototyping
- Usability & accessibility audits
- Design-to-code handoff
Our Design process.
Research
Interviews, analytics review and competitive teardown, to establish what is actually true rather than what is assumed.
Flows & architecture
Information architecture and task flows agreed before any interface is drawn.
Interface & system
Design tokens, components, states and edge cases — the parts that are usually left until they become bugs.
Prototype & test
Interactive prototypes tested with real users, so decisions are settled before engineering starts.
Handover
Specifications, tokens and assets delivered in a form engineers can implement directly.
What we build it with.

- Axe
- WCAG 2.2
Sectors we do this for.
Startups & Founders
MVPs, technical co-founding and the path from prototype to scale.
Healthcare & Life Sciences
Clinical systems, patient platforms and privacy-critical data handling.
Education & EdTech
Learning platforms, assessment systems and institutional tooling.
Fintech & Banking
Payments, lending, risk and regulated financial infrastructure.

Design — common questions.
What is the difference between UI and UX design?
UX design decides what a product does and how a person moves through it — flows, information architecture and task design. UI design decides how that is presented visually and interactively. They are separate disciplines that fail independently, and both are needed.
What is a design system and do we need one?
A design system is a documented set of tokens, components and rules that products are assembled from. It pays for itself once you have more than one product surface or more than a couple of people designing, because it removes the cost of re-deciding the same details.
Can you work from our existing brand?
Yes. We can extend an existing identity into a product design system, or develop a new one where none exists. Where brand guidelines conflict with accessibility requirements we will show you the conflict and propose a compliant alternative.
How do you make designs accessible?
By designing for it rather than auditing for it: contrast ratios checked at token level, visible focus states specified for every interactive component, target sizes at or above 24 by 24 pixels, and flows that work by keyboard and screen reader. We work to WCAG 2.2 AA.
Do you do design without development?
Yes. Design engagements are available standalone, and the output is specified so your own engineers or another vendor can implement it. Many clients start here precisely to reduce risk before committing to a build budget.
