Fintech & Banking
Fintech software engineering is the building of systems that move, hold or assess money, under regulatory, audit and security obligations that make correctness and traceability non-negotiable.
Money systems fail differently. Correctness, auditability and uptime are the product.
What makes this sector different.
In financial software, a bug is not a defect report — it is a reconciliation problem, a regulatory disclosure, or a customer whose salary did not arrive. That changes how you build: idempotency everywhere, immutable audit trails, reconciliation as a first-class feature, and the assumption that every external system will eventually time out mid-transaction.
We build payments, lending, risk and compliance infrastructure with those properties designed in, and we test them the way they fail in production — partial failures, duplicate webhooks, clock skew and provider outages — rather than only on the happy path.
Problems we are asked to solve
- Reconciliation breaks that surface days after the transaction
- Regulatory reporting assembled by hand each period
- Payment provider integrations that fail in ways nobody planned for
- Fraud and risk decisions made too slowly to matter
- Audit requests that take weeks to answer

Fintech & Banking — common questions.
Do you build payment systems?
Yes — payment integration, settlement, reconciliation and ledger design. We work with Razorpay, PhonePe, Stripe and bank APIs, and we build the reconciliation and idempotency layers that determine whether a payment system stays correct under partial failure.
How do you handle PCI DSS?
The most reliable approach is to stay out of scope: card data goes directly to a certified provider through tokenisation or hosted fields, so it never touches your systems. Where scope cannot be avoided, we design the segmentation and controls the standard requires.
Can you build fraud and risk systems?
Yes. Rules engines for deterministic policy, machine learning for pattern detection, and the case management tooling analysts need to act on alerts. Explainability matters here — a model that cannot justify a decline creates a regulatory problem rather than solving one.
What about audit trails?
Financial systems are built with append-only event logs, so state at any past moment can be reconstructed rather than inferred. This is what makes audit requests answerable in hours instead of weeks, and it must be designed in from the start.
